Our Mission is to to help people COME TO Jesus, CoNNECT WITH His church & continue His MINISTRY.

As a church we feel called and excited to demonstrate two key things: that God is good and God is here. These messages aren't new, in fact they were some of the key messages that Jesus preached on the earth, but these truths are desperately needed in our culture. This message brings hope and life.

We love to see people meet this Good God, and continue to meet with Him - through our gatherings, in small groups, and in everyday life. We know an encounter with Jesus can change everything, and we live for those moments.

We also know that these moments are meant to lead us into a new normal, of thriving alongside others who are also following Jesus. You weren’t created to do life alone. Life to the full includes both receiving from and contributing to others. God built His Church so that together we could follow Him, and put Him on display to the world.

Finally, we believe that Jesus meant it when He passed on His mission to make disciples of all nations and to continue His work throughout the earth. We all have a part to play in seeing lives changed by God. In short, we believe that in partnership with God’s Spirit, you were made to change the world.

Our vision is to establish a life-giving, multiplying local church that AdvanCES His kingdom both in our neighborhoods and in the nations.

– WORD

We anchor our lives to the word of God - first to His written word - the Bible, and also to His spoken word to us. We trust what God has to say, more than our own strengths, ideas, and opinions and we build our lives upon what He says.

– SPIRIT

The distinguishing message of Christianity is that Jesus is ALIVE. We are engaging with God who lives, and moves, and speaks. We don’t pursue a religion, we’re pursuing a Person. We love Him, and we love to be in His Presence.

– FAMILY

Jesus said that true faith is evidenced by how we love one another. God’s passion isn’t just a plan or a place - it’s a people. We love and value each other and what God is doing in and through us together.

04.
– MISSION

Good news must be shared. If we really believe that Jesus is the hope of the world, we have to share this message in a way the world can hear. We love and pursue those who aren’t yet following Jesus, and work to lovingly point them toward Jesus.

Nick & Keri FOX

Nick and Keri were married in 2009 in Costa Mesa, CA. Even before they met, they carried a dream in their hearts to plant a church in North County San Diego that would bring new life and increased hope into the area. This passion has only grown with each year as San Diego has captured their hearts. They served together in various ministry roles over the past decade, and are excited to see how God will establish and use Commonwealth to bless the North County area. They are proud parents to two boys (who also consider themselves church planters). They love to see people and places impacted by the goodness of God's presence and to see people discover and step into their God-given purpose.
