WHAT IF YOU INVESTED A YEAR OF YOUR LIFE TOWARD STEPPING INTO YOUR CALLING?

Sent School of Mission is a 9-month immersive discipleship program aimed at helping you to CONNECT with God and His Word, learn to CONTRIBUTE within the context of a local church, and CONTINUE His ministry in the world. Whether you feel called toward vocational ministry or you feel called into the marketplace, every follower of Jesus is meant to be sent as a messenger and minister of reconciliation between God and people.

And… what if you earned college credit while doing it?

Walking along leaders from within Commonwealth and fellow Sent Students, you will be given the opportunity to grow in your faith, uncover more of who God designed you to be and become equipped for the things He is calling you to do. You will engage with teaching by world-class theological scholars, and serve in a growing church plant. You will listen and lead, stretch, and grow. This will be a year that changes you and empowers you to make a difference in the world.

FAQ

  • The time commitment for SENT School of Mission averages 20 hours a week. This includes gatherings, serving, relational connections and study time (For the CTC courses).
There should be ample time to participate in a part-time job, additional education/training or a part-time volunteer role.

  • YES! One of the unique facets of this program is that you will earn credit toward a bachelors (or masters if you already have a bachelor’s) degree. Whether or not you remain in San Diego with Commonwealth after this program, you can continue to complete your degree program online wherever you go, or you can continue with our CTC cohort here.

  • There is a basic $500 fee to participate in the School of Mission that covers simple supplies like coffee and snacks.

Further, students are responsible for covering the tuition and supplies needed for the theology courses that are administrated by Okanagan Bible College. We are still finalizing the details on the exact cost of this program per cohort student, but the estimated cost of this tuition will run between $75-$100 (USD) per month (+ books).

Housing is something that each student will be responsible for finding and funding. The approximate cost to rent a room in San Diego is around 1,000 a month. Costs may be reduced by finding a roommate, or exploring the possibility of a hosting family within the church. [When searching for housing, aim for a place within 15-20 minutes of the Church Building - 2544 Gateway, Carlsbad.]
